Downtown Fayette is thrilled to announce the hiring of Heather Dawson as our new Executive Director. Heather joins us with a heart for people, a passion for community, and a vision to bring life, light, and lasting impact to the heart of our city.

Guided by her faith and fueled by a love for connection, Heather is committed to cultivating a downtown that is not only vibrant and economically strong, but also welcoming, creative, and full of joy. With a background in leadership, planning, and event coordination, she brings both vision and practical experience to her new role as she works to revitalize Downtown Fayette.

Heather believes that thriving communities are built through teamwork, prayerful leadership, and shared dreams. She is excited to serve as a bridge between people, businesses, and ideas—supporting local business owners, honoring Fayette’s rich history, and inspiring others to imagine what’s possible for our community’s future.

Outside of her work in downtown development, Heather enjoys painting, drawing, working out, attending church, and discovering the best local ice cream shops. She and her husband, Jeremy, are proud parents to three wonderful children—Genavive, Vivian, and Seth.
